HEAT Grant

A key element of the Flinders University Health and Human Rights Group (HHRG) is to highlight areas of health inequities and provide education on ways that students and professionals can implement strategies to improve health outcomes.  The Health Equity Action Together Small Grants Scheme (HEAT) has been created to further these aims, and to promote small projects targeting improved health outcomes in communities worldwide.

 

The HEAT grant will endow student-run projects principled on social justice. HHRG has chosen a small grants style approach for use of fundraising dollars in order to promote grants writing experience, and to encourage serious consideration of all aspects of project implementation.

All HHRG members are eligible to apply for funding to use towards projects during their medical electives, rural community week, and research electives.
