What are the HEAT grants?
HEAT grants are annual health equity and social justice grants offered by the Health and Human Right’s Group (HHRG) of Flinders University School of Medicine. The application can be downloaded here!
Who can apply? (Eligibility criteria)
To apply for a HEAT grant you must:
- Be a current Flinders University student
- Be a member of HHRG
- Have a student-led project that addresses a health equity or social justice issue either here or overseas
How much money can I ask for?
HHRG has $5200 available for HEAT grants in 2016. Your project can ask for any amount up to that total but please note that we often choose to support multiple projects so only apply for the amount you need!
The Selection Process
HHRG has 3 external selection panel members who assess projects for their viability and alignment with the ethos of HHRG. Each project is assessed independently but the Selection Panel reserves the right to offer lower amounts than requested where they wish to support multiple projects within the budget of the grant.
Applications close: Friday
